What does a third-party inference task mean?

A third-party inference task refers to a request processed using a model or service hosted by an external provider, rather than run directly on Runware infrastructure.

How third-party inference works

When you run a task using a third-party model:

  • The request is sent through Runware

  • The model itself is hosted and operated by an external provider

  • The generation is processed by that provider’s infrastructure

Runware acts as the platform that connects your request to the model provider.

If you are unsure whether a model is Runware-hosted or third-party, models with air id starting with "runware:" are hosted by Runware
